Who's album will you buy?
Personally after listening to both Janet and Erykah's album's respectively I have to say that I am impressed with both. But to compare the two in terms of content, Erykah takes the cake. Listening from Erykah's first album "Baduizm" and her last few efforts I feel like she really has grown as an artist while still keeping it funky with the listener.Janet's album however does offer up some good tracks, like "Rollercoaster", "So Much Betta" and the leading Rodney Jerkins track "Feedback"; I still think that Janet could change it up alot more, but overall the album is a solid effort that stays consistent enough for you not to fall asleep.

Today sees the release of Janet Jackson's tenth studio album, and with that Ms. Jackson went on a media blitz starting with a performance on "Good Morning America". What do you know 'bout Janelle Monáe?
Though her debut album "Metropolis Suite I of IV: The Chase" came out months ago, I felt compelled to do a post on her because her talent is SO huge. In a recent artist spotlight Janelle was named one of the up and coming artists of '08. The Singer, who first appeared on Outkast's "Purple Ribbon All-Star's Compilation Got Purp? Volume 2" and the soundtrack for "Idlewild" plans to re release Suite I of Metropolis with Suite II later this year under her new label, Bad Boy. I really hope this works out for her because her music is the most original that I've had the pleasure of listening to in years. Hello everyone!
